Sonny & Cher were an American pop music duo composed of husband-and-wife Sonny Bono and Cher. They first found success in the mid-1960s with their hit song "I Got You Babe," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1965. The duo went on to release several more successful singles, including "The Beat Goes On" and "All I Ever Need Is You."

In addition to their music career, Sonny & Cher also had a popular television variety show called "The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour," which aired from 1971 to 1974. The show helped to solidify their status as pop culture icons and further showcased their musical talents.
