Artist Bio:
Spandau Ballet is a British new wave band that formed in London in 1979. The band's original lineup consisted of Tony Hadley (vocals), Gary Kemp (guitar and primary songwriter), Martin Kemp (bass), Steve Norman (saxophone and guitar), and John Keeble (drums). They were known for their unique blend of pop, soul, and R&B, which helped them achieve international success in the 1980s.

One of Spandau Ballet's most popular songs is "True," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1983. The band also had other hits like "Gold," "Only When You Leave," and "Through the Barricades." Spandau Ballet disbanded in 1990 but reunited in 2009, embarking on a successful comeback tour. Despite some internal conflicts over the years, the band remains an influential figure in the new wave and synth-pop genres.
