Spiral Starecase was an American pop band formed in Sacramento, California in 1964. The group is best known for their 1969 hit single "More Today Than Yesterday," which peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has since become a classic of the era and remains a popular choice on oldies radio stations. Spiral Starecase was led by lead singer/guitarist Pat Upton, who wrote many of the band's songs.
Despite their initial success, Spiral Starecase disbanded in the early 1970s after releasing only one album. Over the years, "More Today Than Yesterday" has been covered by various artists and featured in numerous movies, TV shows, and commercials, keeping the band's legacy alive.
