Artist Bio:
Spirit is a rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1967. The band was known for their eclectic mix of rock, jazz, and psychedelic music. The original lineup consisted of Randy California, Jay Ferguson, Mark Andes, John Locke, and Ed Cassidy.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1968, is considered a classic of the psychedelic rock genre. One of their most famous songs, "Taurus," has been the subject of controversy due to its similarities to Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven." Spirit released a total of 12 studio albums before disbanding in 1997. Despite never achieving mainstream commercial success, Spirit has been influential on many musicians and continues to have a dedicated cult following.
