Splender was an American alternative rock band formed in 1997 in New York City. The band was originally composed of lead vocalist Waymon Boone, guitarist Jonathan Svec, bassist James Cruz, and drummer Marc Slutsky. They gained popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their hit singles "I Think God Can Explain" and "Yeah, Whatever".
