Staind is an American rock band that was formed in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1995. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. Staind gained popularity in the early 2000s with their hit singles such as "It's Been Awhile," "Outside," and "So Far Away."
Known for their heavy sound and emotionally charged lyrics, Staind has released seven studio albums to date, including their debut album "Dysfunction" in 1999, which helped establish their place in the nu-metal and post-grunge music scenes. The band has sold over 15 million records worldwide and has earned multiple Grammy nominations for their music. Despite going on hiatus in 2011, Staind reunited in 2019 and continues to perform and release new music for their dedicated fan base.
