Staind is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. Staind gained popularity in the early 2000s with their albums "Break the Cycle" and "14 Shades of Grey," which featured hit singles like "It's Been Awhile" and "So Far Away."

Known for their heavy sound and emotionally charged lyrics, Staind's music often explores themes of pain, isolation, and personal struggles. The band has sold over 15 million records worldwide and has received multiple Grammy nominations. Staind went on hiatus in 2011, but reunited in 2019 for a series of live shows.
