Starland Vocal Band was an American pop/soft rock group formed in 1976. The band consisted of four members: Bill Danoff, Taffy Danoff, Jon Carroll, and Margot Chapman. They are best known for their hit single "Afternoon Delight," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1976. The song also won two Grammy Awards for Best Arrangement of Voices and Best New Artist.
In addition to their success with "Afternoon Delight," Starland Vocal Band released several albums in the late 1970s. The group disbanded in 1981 after releasing three studio albums. Despite their relatively short-lived career, Starland Vocal Band left a lasting impact on the music industry with their unique harmonies and catchy pop tunes.
