Artist Bio:
Stars On was a Dutch novelty pop act created by producer Jaap Eggermont. The group was known for their medley recordings that combined snippets of popular songs into a continuous mix. Their most famous medley, "Stars on 45", which featured snippets of Beatles songs, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in 1981. The success of the single led to the release of an album titled "Stars On Long Play", which also became a commercial success.

Stars On continued to release medley singles and albums throughout the early 1980s, with varying degrees of success. Some of their other popular medleys included tributes to ABBA and Stevie Wonder. Despite their short-lived mainstream success, Stars On left a lasting impact on the music industry with their innovative approach to creating medleys of popular songs.
