Steelheart is an American rock band formed in 1990 by vocalist Miljenko Matijevic in Norwalk, Connecticut. The band is best known for their hit power ballad "I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)" from their self-titled debut album released in 1990. Steelheart's music is characterized by Matijevic's powerful vocals and a mix of hard rock and glam metal influences.
Despite experiencing some success in the early 1990s, Steelheart faced tragedy in 1992 when a lighting truss fell on Matijevic during a live performance, resulting in serious injuries. The band went on hiatus and eventually regrouped with new members. Steelheart has since released several albums and continues to tour and perform live, maintaining a loyal fan base around the world.
