Artist Bio:
Steely Dan is an American rock band formed by songwriters and musicians Walter Becker and Donald Fagen in 1972. The band is known for their unique blend of jazz, rock, and R&B influences, as well as their complex and often cryptic lyrics. They released a series of critically acclaimed albums in the 1970s, including "Can't Buy a Thrill" (1972), "Pretzel Logic" (1974), and "Aja" (1977), which are considered some of their best work.

Steely Dan achieved commercial success with hits like "Do It Again," "Reelin' in the Years," and "Rikki Don't Lose That Number." They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Despite several lineup changes over the years, Becker and Fagen remained the core members of the band until Becker's death in 2017. Steely Dan's music continues to be celebrated for its sophisticated arrangements, intricate instrumentation, and witty, sardonic lyrics.
