Artist Bio:
Steppenwolf is a Canadian-American rock band that was formed in 1967 in Los Angeles, California. The band's founding members included John Kay, Jerry Edmonton, Goldy McJohn, and Michael Monarch. Steppenwolf is best known for their hit songs "Born to Be Wild" and "Magic Carpet Ride," which are considered classic rock anthems of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band's music is characterized by a hard rock sound with elements of blues and psychedelic rock.

Steppenwolf achieved mainstream success with their self-titled debut album released in 1968, which featured their signature song "Born to Be Wild." The band went on to release several more albums throughout the 1970s before disbanding in 1972. However, Steppenwolf has reunited several times over the years with different lineups, and their music continues to be celebrated by rock fans around the world.
