Steve Alaimo is an American singer, record producer, and music executive who was born on December 6, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska. He gained popularity in the 1960s with his hit songs such as "Every Day I Have to Cry" and "Mashed Potatoes." Alaimo was also a popular television personality, hosting a music show called "Where the Action Is" alongside Dick Clark.


In addition to his successful music career, Alaimo worked as a record producer for several well-known artists, including KC and the Sunshine Band. He later transitioned into the role of music executive, serving as the vice president of TK Records, a prominent record label in the 1970s.
