Steve Alaimo is an American singer and record producer who was born on December 6, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska. He started his music career in the early 1960s and gained popularity as a pop singer with hits such as "Every Day I Have to Cry" and "Mashed Potatoes." Alaimo also appeared on various TV shows, including "Where the Action Is" and "The Jackie Gleason Show."


In addition to his singing career, Steve Alaimo found success as a record producer, working with artists such as Betty Wright and KC and the Sunshine Band. He is credited with helping to launch the career of the band The Beatles in the United States by inviting them to appear on the television show "Where the Action Is." Steve Alaimo continues to be involved in the music industry, both as a performer and behind the scenes as a producer.
