Steve Alaimo is an American singer and record producer born in 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. He started his music career as a rock and roll singer in the early 1960s, achieving moderate success with hits like "Mashed Potatoes" and "Every Day I Have to Cry Some." Alaimo also appeared on TV shows such as "Where the Action Is" and "The Lloyd Thaxton Show."


In addition to his singing career, Alaimo transitioned into record producing in the 1970s, working with artists like KC and the Sunshine Band. He was also involved in the promotion of the Miami-based music show "The Roaring 20's," which aired in the late 1980s. Throughout his career, Steve Alaimo has made significant contributions to the music industry as both a performer and a producer.
