Steve Miller is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the leader of the Steve Miller Band. Born on October 5, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Miller began his music career in the late 1960s and achieved commercial success in the 1970s with hit songs such as "The Joker," "Fly Like an Eagle," and "Rock'n Me."

Miller's music is characterized by a blend of rock, blues, and pop influences, and he is known for his distinctive vocals and melodic guitar playing. He has released over a dozen studio albums with the Steve Miller Band and continues to tour and perform live to this day. Steve Miller was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 in recognition of his contributions to the music industry.
