Steve Perry is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey. He joined the band in 1977 and became their frontman, contributing to their success during the late 1970s and 1980s. Perry's distinctive voice and emotive singing style helped propel Journey to international fame, with hits like "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)." He left the band in 1987 but later reunited with them for various projects, including their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
Outside of Journey, Steve Perry has released several solo albums, including "Street Talk" in 1984, which featured the hit single "Oh Sherrie."
