Steve Perry is an American singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Journey. Born on January 22, 1949, in Hanford, California, Perry joined Journey in 1977 and helped the band achieve massive success with his distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. He sang on some of Journey's biggest hits, including "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Any Way You Want It."
After leaving Journey in 1987, Perry pursued a solo career and released his debut album "Street Talk" in 1984, which spawned the hit singles "Oh Sherrie" and "Foolish Heart." Despite taking a break from music for several years, Perry returned with the solo album "Traces" in 2018, which received critical acclaim. Known for his powerful vocals and emotional delivery, Steve Perry remains a respected figure in the rock music industry.
