Artist Bio:
Sting, born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner on October 2, 1951, is a British musician, singer, and actor. He first gained fame as the lead vocalist and bassist for the rock band The Police, which was formed in 1977. The Police became one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s and early 1980s, known for hits such as "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take," and "Message in a Bottle."


After the breakup of The Police in 1986, Sting embarked on a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums that showcased his distinctive voice and songwriting skills. He has explored a wide range of musical styles, including rock, pop, jazz, and world music. Sting has won multiple Grammy Awards, both as a solo artist and as a member of The Police, and is known for his socially and politically conscious lyrics. In addition to his music career, Sting has also pursued acting, appearing in films such as "Dune" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels."
