Sting, born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner on October 2, 1951, is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He initially gained fame as the lead vocalist and bassist for the rock band The Police, which was formed in 1977. The band released five studio albums, achieving worldwide success with hits like "Roxanne," "Every Breath You Take," and "Message in a Bottle." After The Police disbanded in 1986, Sting embarked on a successful solo career.


As a solo artist, Sting has released numerous albums spanning various genres such as rock, pop, jazz, and world music. He is known for his distinctive voice, songwriting skills, and ability to blend different musical styles.
