Artist Bio:
The Stone Poneys featuring Linda Ronstadt was a folk-rock trio formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. The group consisted of Linda Ronstadt on vocals, Bobby Kimmel on rhythm guitar, and Kenny Edwards on lead guitar. They released three albums during their active years, with their self-titled debut album being the most successful, reaching number 172 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Their breakthrough single was a cover of the song "Different Drum," which was written by Michael Nesmith of The Monkees. The single reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967 and helped launch Linda Ronstadt's successful solo career. Despite their short-lived success as a group, Linda Ronstadt went on to become one of the most successful female singers in the 1970s and 1980s, winning multiple Grammy Awards and selling millions of records worldwide.
