Stone Temple Pilots is an American rock band that was formed in San Diego, California in 1989. The band consists of members Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo, and Eric Kretz, with various lead vocalists over the years including Scott Weiland and Chester Bennington. Stone Temple Pilots gained popularity in the early 1990s with their debut album "Core" which featured hits like "Plush" and "Creep." They are known for their grunge and alternative rock sound, drawing influences from bands like Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains.


Throughout their career, Stone Temple Pilots have released several successful albums including "Purple," "Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop," and "No. 4."
