Artist Bio:
Stonewall Jackson was an American country music singer and musician born in Tabor City, North Carolina, on November 6, 1932. He achieved great success in the 1950s and 1960s with his honky-tonk style of country music. Jackson signed with Columbia Records in 1958 and released his debut album in 1959, which included his hit single "Waterloo." Throughout his career, he had multiple chart-topping hits, including "Don't Be Angry" and "B.J. the D.J."


Jackson was known for his distinctive baritone voice and his traditional country sound. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1958 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. Stonewall Jackson continued to perform and record music until his passing on March 4, 2021, leaving behind a legacy as a pioneer in country music.
