Artist Bio:
Stories was a rock band formed in New York City in 1972. The band was fronted by singer Ian Lloyd and guitarist Michael Brown. Their most well-known song is "Brother Louie," which was a top ten hit in the United States in 1973. "Brother Louie" was a cover of a Hot Chocolate song and featured a distinctive mix of rock and disco elements, making it a unique and memorable track from the era.
Despite their initial success with "Brother Louie," Stories disbanded in 1974 after releasing two albums. Their self-titled debut album in 1972 received critical acclaim and helped establish the band's sound, which combined elements of rock, pop, and even some progressive rock influences. Stories may have been short-lived, but their music continues to be remembered and enjoyed by fans of 70s rock music.
