Styx is an American rock band that was formed in Chicago in 1972. The band's original lineup consisted of Dennis DeYoung (vocals, keyboards), James "J.Y." Young (vocals, guitars), John Curulewski (guitars), Chuck Panozzo (bass), and John Panozzo (drums). Styx is known for their progressive rock sound, incorporating elements of hard rock and pop music into their songs.


Styx achieved great commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits such as "Come Sail Away," "Renegade," and "Babe." They have released multiple platinum-selling albums and have sold over 54 million records worldwide. Styx is also known for their elaborate live performances and theatrical stage shows.
