Artist Bio:
Sugarloaf was an American rock band formed in 1968 in Denver, Colorado. The band was primarily known for their 1970 hit single "Green-Eyed Lady," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song showcased the band's unique blend of psychedelic rock, jazz, and pop influences. Sugarloaf was led by vocalist and keyboardist Jerry Corbetta, who was also the primary songwriter for the group. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1970, also featured other popular tracks like "Tongue in Cheek" and "Medley: Bach Doors Man/Fly Away."
Despite the success of "Green-Eyed Lady," Sugarloaf struggled to replicate the same level of commercial success with subsequent releases. The band continued to release albums throughout the 1970s before disbanding in the late 1970s. Sugarloaf left a lasting impact on the music industry with their innovative sound and memorable hit single.
