Survivor is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1978. The band achieved mainstream success in the 1980s with their hit singles "Eye of the Tiger" and "Burning Heart," both of which were featured in the popular "Rocky" film series. "Eye of the Tiger" became an iconic song and won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1982.
Survivor has released several albums throughout their career, with their music often characterized by power ballads and anthemic rock songs. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes over the years, with founding member Jim Peterik being one of the most consistent members. Despite the changes, Survivor has continued to tour and perform, maintaining a loyal fan base around the world.
