Survivor is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1978. The band achieved its greatest success in the 1980s with a series of hit singles and albums. Their most famous song, "Eye of the Tiger," was the theme song for the movie "Rocky III" and spent six weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1982. The band's lineup has changed over the years, with guitarist Frankie Sullivan being the only constant member throughout its various iterations.


Survivor has released numerous albums over the years, including popular titles like "Vital Signs" and "When Seconds Count." In addition to "Eye of the Tiger," the band had other hits such as "Burning Heart" and "The Search Is Over." Survivor continues to tour and perform, delighting fans with their iconic rock sound and memorable songs.
