Sweet, also known as The Sweet, is a British rock band formed in London in 1968. The band achieved success in the 1970s with their glam rock sound and catchy pop tunes. The original lineup consisted of Brian Connolly on vocals, Steve Priest on bass, Andy Scott on guitar, and Mick Tucker on drums. Sweet's biggest hits include "Ballroom Blitz," "Fox on the Run," and "Love is Like Oxygen."
The band enjoyed commercial success in both the UK and the US, with several of their singles reaching the top of the charts. Despite various lineup changes over the years, Sweet continued to tour and release music, with Andy Scott being the only remaining original member. Sweet has left a lasting impact on the music industry and is considered a significant part of the glam rock movement of the 1970s.
