Sweet Sensation was a female vocal trio from the Bronx, New York, that achieved success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group consisted of Betty Lebron, Margie Fernandez, and Sheila Vega. They were known for their freestyle and dance-pop music, which incorporated elements of Latin and R&B influences. Sweet Sensation was signed to Next Plateau Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1988, which spawned several hit singles including "Hooked on You" and "Take It While It's Hot."

The group's popularity continued to grow with their second album, "Love Child," released in 1990. The album featured the hit single "If Wishes Came True," which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Sweet Sensation disbanded in the mid-1990s, but their music continues to be celebrated by fans of freestyle and dance-pop music.
