The band consists of members Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Drew Shirley (guitar). They are known for their thought-provoking lyrics, dynamic sound, and energetic live performances.
Switchfoot gained mainstream success with their hits such as "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move" from their breakthrough album "The Beautiful Letdown" released in 2003. The band has released a total of 11 studio albums, with several of them achieving commercial success and critical acclaim. Switchfoot has won multiple awards including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album for their album "Hello Hurricane" in 2011.
