The band consists of members Serj Tankian (vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass), and John Dolmayan (drums). Known for their unique blend of heavy metal, alternative rock, and nu-metal, System Of A Down gained widespread popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like "Chop Suey!" and "Toxicity."
The band has released five studio albums, with their 2001 album "Toxicity" being their most successful, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
