Artist Bio:
Tab Hunter, born Arthur Andrew Kelm, was an American actor, singer, and author who rose to fame in the 1950s as a Hollywood heartthrob. He began his career as a competitive figure skater before transitioning to acting, making his film debut in the 1950 film "The Lawless." Hunter quickly gained popularity for his good looks and charm, starring in numerous films throughout the decade, including "Battle Cry" and "Damn Yankees." He also found success as a recording artist, with his single "Young Love" reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1957.

Despite his success in Hollywood, Hunter faced struggles with his sexuality due to the societal norms of the time. He eventually came out as gay in his 2005 autobiography, "Tab Hunter Confidential: The Making of a Movie Star." Following his coming out, Hunter became an advocate for LGBTQ rights and continued to work in the entertainment industry, appearing in films and television shows. Tab Hunter passed away in 2018 at the age of 86, leaving behind a legacy as a talented performer and a trailblazer for LGBTQ representation in Hollywood.
