Artist Bio:
Talk Talk was an English rock band formed in 1981 by Mark Hollis (vocals, guitar), Lee Harris (drums), and Paul Webb (bass). Initially part of the new wave and synth-pop movements, Talk Talk later transitioned to a more experimental and ambient sound. Their music is characterized by its atmospheric soundscapes, intricate arrangements, and philosophical lyrics.
The band achieved commercial success with albums like "It's My Life" (1984) and "The Colour of Spring" (1986). However, they gained critical acclaim and a cult following with their later albums "Spirit of Eden" (1988) and "Laughing Stock" (1991), which are considered influential works in the post-rock genre. Talk Talk disbanded in 1991, with Hollis pursuing a solo career until his retirement from the music industry in the late 1990s.
