Talking Heads was an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City. The band consisted of David Byrne (vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar). Known for their eclectic mix of new wave, punk rock, and funk music, Talking Heads achieved commercial success and critical acclaim throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
The band released several influential albums, including "Remain in Light" (1980) and "Stop Making Sense" (1984). Their hit songs include "Burning Down the House," "Once in a Lifetime," and "Psycho Killer." Talking Heads disbanded in 1991, but their music continues to be celebrated for its innovative sound and thought-provoking lyrics. David Byrne, the band's frontman, has also had a successful solo career following the disbandment of Talking Heads.
