Talking Heads was an American rock band formed in 1975 in New York City. The band was composed of David Byrne (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Frantz (drums), Tina Weymouth (bass), and Jerry Harrison (keyboards, guitar). They were known for their innovative and eclectic music, which combined elements of punk, new wave, funk, and world music. Talking Heads achieved commercial success with songs like "Once in a Lifetime," "Burning Down the House," and "Psycho Killer."

The band released eight studio albums between 1977 and 1988, with their most acclaimed work being the albums "Remain in Light" (1980) and "Speaking in Tongues" (1983). Talking Heads were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Despite disbanding in 1991, their influence on popular music continues to be felt, with their unique sound and visual style earning them a place as one of the most iconic bands of the late 20th century.
