Tamiko Jones was an American singer born in Kyle, West Virginia in 1945. She began her music career in the 1960s as a session singer, providing backing vocals for various artists. In the early 1970s, she released her debut album titled "Love Trip" in 1975, which featured a mix of disco, soul, and pop music. The album included her most well-known song, a cover of "Let It Be Me."


Jones gained recognition for her soulful voice and versatile singing style, which allowed her to perform a wide range of genres including R&B, jazz, and disco. Throughout her career, she collaborated with various musicians and producers, including Quincy Jones. Despite not achieving mainstream commercial success, Tamiko Jones is still remembered for her contributions to the music industry and her unique vocal talent.
