Artist Bio:
Tammi Terrell was an American singer-songwriter known for her work in the 1960s alongside Marvin Gaye. Born as Thomasina Winifred Montgomery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 29, 1945, she began her singing career at a young age, releasing her first single at the age of 15. Terrell gained recognition for her soulful vocals and dynamic stage presence.

Terrell's most notable collaborations were with Marvin Gaye, producing hits such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and "You're All I Need to Get By." These songs became iconic duets in the history of soul music. Unfortunately, Terrell's career was cut short due to health issues, and she passed away at the young age of 24 on March 16, 1970, following complications from a brain tumor. Despite her short-lived career, Tammi Terrell's contributions to soul music continue to be celebrated and remembered to this day.
