Tavares is a R&B, funk, and soul music group formed in 1962 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The five Tavares brothers - Ralph, Pooch, Chubby, Butch, and Tiny - make up the group that gained popularity in the 1970s. They are best known for their hits such as "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," "It Only Takes a Minute," and "More Than a Woman."
Tavares achieved mainstream success during the disco era with their smooth harmonies and catchy tunes.
