Tavares is a R&B, funk, and soul band formed in 1963 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The band consists of five brothers: Ralph, Pooch, Chubby, Tiny, and Butch Tavares. They gained popularity in the 1970s with hits like "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel" and "More Than a Woman." Tavares has released several albums throughout their career and continues to perform live. They were inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
