Teegarden & Van Winkle were an American musical duo composed of Skip "Van Winkle" Knape and David "Teegarden" Teegarden. They were active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, gaining popularity for their folk-rock and country-rock sound. The duo is best known for their hit single "God, Love and Rock & Roll," which reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1970.


David Teegarden was a drummer and vocalist, while Skip Knape played the keyboards and provided vocals as well. Their music was characterized by harmonious vocals and a laid-back, melodic style that resonated with audiences during the era.
