Terry Black and Laurel Ward were a Canadian-American folk-pop duo in the late 1960s and early 1970s. They gained popularity with their hit single "Goin' Down (On the Road to L.A.)" released in 1969. The duo released two albums together, "Terry Black & Laurel Ward" in 1969 and "Terry Black & Laurel Ward Again" in 1970. They were known for their harmonious vocals and melodic folk-pop sound.
Despite their initial success, Terry Black and Laurel Ward eventually parted ways, pursuing solo careers in the music industry. Terry Black continued as a solo artist, releasing several singles and albums, while Laurel Ward transitioned to acting, appearing in various television shows and films.
