The duo had several successful singles, including "Which Way You Goin' Billy?" which was a top ten hit in both Canada and the United States.

After the disbandment of The Poppy Family, Terry Jacks pursued a solo career and released his most well-known song, "Seasons in the Sun," in 1974. The song topped the charts in multiple countries and became one of the best-selling singles of all time. Jacks also had success as a producer, working with artists such as Nana Mouskouri.
