Artist Bio:
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and physicist. He was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Austrian Empire (modern-day Croatia), and died on January 7, 1943, in New York City, USA. Tesla is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. He held over 300 patents and made numerous breakthroughs in the production, transmission, and application of electric power.
Tesla worked with Thomas Edison before the two became rivals due to their differing opinions on the best way to distribute electricity. Tesla's inventions and discoveries laid the foundation for many modern technologies, including wireless communication, radar, X-ray technology, and the development of the radio. Despite facing financial difficulties later in life, Tesla's work has had a lasting impact on the field of electrical engineering and continues to be celebrated for its influence on the technological advancements of the 20th and 21st centuries.
