Artist Bio:
Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and physicist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. He was born on July 10, 1856, in Smiljan, Austrian Empire (modern-day Croatia), and passed away on January 7, 1943, in New York City, United States. Tesla obtained over 300 patents for his inventions, including the Tesla coil, alternating current power transmission, and the induction motor. He also conducted groundbreaking experiments in wireless power transfer and wireless communication.

Tesla worked with Thomas Edison before their professional relationship turned into a rivalry over the best method to deliver electricity; Tesla advocated for alternating current, while Edison favored direct current. Despite facing financial difficulties throughout his life and dying in relative obscurity, Tesla's legacy has grown over the years, with many recognizing his contributions to science and technology. Today, he is celebrated as one of the greatest inventors of all time and is considered a pioneer in the field of electrical engineering.
