The 4 Seasons is an American rock and pop band that was formed in 1960 in New Jersey. The group was led by singer Frankie Valli and consisted of Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi. They were known for their distinctive sound which combined rock and roll with doo-wop and R&B influences. The band achieved great success in the 1960s with hits such as "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," and "Walk Like a Man."
The 4 Seasons became one of the best-selling musical acts of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and continue to perform live, with Frankie Valli as the only original member still touring with the group. The band's music has had a lasting impact on popular culture and they are considered one of the most iconic groups of the 1960s.
