The 5th Dimension is an American vocal group that achieved popularity in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Formed in Los Angeles in 1965, the group originally consisted of five members: Billy Davis Jr., Marilyn McCoo, Florence LaRue, Lamonte McLemore, and Ron Townson. They are known for their smooth harmonies and eclectic mix of musical styles, including pop, R&B, soul, and jazz.


The 5th Dimension had a string of hit songs in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including "Up, Up and Away," "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In," and "Wedding Bell Blues." They won several Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002. The group's music continues to be celebrated for its innovative sound and enduring appeal.
