Artist Bio:
The 8th Day was an American R&B and soul group formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1970. The group was led by brothers Melvin and Stanley Bonaparte, who were also known as "The Prophets". Their biggest hit was the single "She's Not Just Another Woman", which reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1971. The song also peaked at number 3 on the R&B chart.

The 8th Day released three albums during the 1970s: "The 8th Day" (1971), "I Gotta Get Home (Can't Let My Baby Get Lonely)" (1973), and "12 Hot Ghetto Tunes" (1974). Despite their initial success, the group disbanded in the mid-1970s. The 8th Day is remembered for their unique blend of soul, funk, and R&B music, and their influence on the Detroit music scene during the early 1970s.
