The 8th Day was an American R&B-funk band formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1970. The group consisted of siblings Melvin and Stanley Weaver, along with additional musicians. They are best known for their hit single "She's Not Just Another Woman," which reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1971. The song also reached the top 10 on the R&B chart and has since become a classic in the funk genre.
The 8th Day released three albums during their career: "The 8th Day" (1971), "I Gotta Get Home (Can't Let My Baby Get Lonely)" (1973), and "12 Hot Hits" (1974).
