The Adventures were a British alternative rock band formed in 1984 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The band consisted of Terry Sharpe on vocals and guitar, his brother Pat Gribben on guitar and vocals, Tony Ayre on keyboards, Paul Crowder on bass, and Eileen Gribben on drums. The band's music was characterized by catchy melodies, jangly guitars, and heartfelt lyrics.
The Adventures achieved moderate success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with songs like "Broken Land" and "Two Rivers." They released four studio albums during their career: "Theodore and Friends" (1985), "The Sea of Love" (1988), "Lions and Tigers and Bears" (1993), and "Trading Secrets with the Moon" (2010). Despite not achieving mainstream commercial success, The Adventures developed a dedicated fan base and received critical acclaim for their music.
